Welcome to Life Is Worth It (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how Jiangfeng Dai, an individual developer (“we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information provided or generated when you use the App.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the iOS App Life Is Worth It and the backend services used to provide sign-in, synchronization, and content delivery. Please do not enter sensitive information in a memory note if you do not want us to process it.
2. Information We Handle
Content you save
When you use Collection and Look Back, the App stores your selected card status, related timestamps, occurrence date and its precision, text notes, and preferences to stop recommending an item. Text notes are optional.
Sign-in and sync information
If you choose Sign in with Apple, we use Apple and Supabase to provide authentication and synchronization. We handle a unique account identifier; an email address supplied by Apple when available, including a private relay address; session credentials; card-presentation preference and its change status; and a random device identifier and modification-time metadata for offline changes and synchronization conflicts.
To support account deletion, we encrypt and store an Apple authorization refresh credential on our server. It is used only to maintain the authorization relationship and revoke authorization with Apple when you delete your account. It is not displayed in the App or used for advertising or marketing.
Purchase, device, and technical information
Full Collection purchases are processed by Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. We do not write purchase transaction records to the synchronization database or tie purchase entitlement to a Life Is Worth It account. The App stores necessary preferences, sign-in sessions, and cached content on your device. Our cloud services may process necessary network-request information, such as request time, IP address, and security logs, for security, troubleshooting, and service reliability.
3. How We Use Information
- To save, display, and synchronize your collection, wishes, experienced records, and text memories.
- To provide Apple sign-in, account maintenance, synchronization, recovery, and account deletion.
- To verify App Store purchase entitlement and deliver public catalog content.
- To keep the service secure, troubleshoot issues, and prevent abuse.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, sell your personal information, or use third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs to track you across other apps or websites.
4. Storage and Sharing
Your collection and account data are stored on your device first. If you choose Sign in with Apple, relevant synchronization data is transmitted to and stored in cloud services provided by Supabase for backup and restoration across your devices.
| Provider | Purpose | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, revocation of account authorization | Authorization information and information needed to verify purchase entitlement |
| Supabase | Account authentication, private-data synchronization, catalog-content delivery | Account identifiers, synchronized data, and necessary technical request information |
We do not make your collection, text notes, or occurrence dates available to other users. If you use system sharing, recipients, channels, and later handling are determined by the service you select.
5. Sharing
Share images are generated on your device from the current card, collection status, and any occurrence date you provide. They do not include text notes. We do not receive or retain generated share images, and temporary files are removed when sharing ends.
6. Local Data and Permissions
You may browse public catalog content without signing in. If you enable the Face ID app lock, biometric authentication is performed by Apple system services on your device; the App does not read, receive, or store facial biometric data. The current version does not offer photo uploads or request photo-library access.
7. Retention and Deletion
We retain account data and personal records needed for synchronization while your account remains active. Start deletion at Settings > Account Actions > Delete Account.
After successful deletion, we delete the cloud account, synchronized personal records, and the encrypted Apple authorization credential, and clear related local data on the current device. To prevent replay and protect security, we may retain a minimum deletion-process record, such as a random account identifier, a one-way hash of the deletion authorization token, processing status, and completion time. This record contains no text memories, readable authentication credentials, or purchase records.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You can choose whether to add text notes and occurrence dates, modify or delete saved records, sign out on the current device, delete your account and cloud personal data, and choose whether to enable Face ID app lock. To ask about, access, correct, or delete information, email lifeisworthit@126.com. We may ask for reasonable identity verification.
9. Children
The App is not designed for children. If you believe a minor has provided personal information without a guardian’s consent, contact us at lifeisworthit@126.com.
10. Updates and Contact
We may update this policy when our features, services, or legal obligations change. Updated versions will be posted here with a revised date. Operator: Jiangfeng Dai, individual developer. Support: lifeisworthit@126.com.
